I was thrilled to be invited to partake in the Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award competition. Each artist was asked to create a three piece narrative illustrationg the theme "common journey". My story called "Toothless" follows a little boy who is missing his front teeth and wakes up excited to go to a hockey game. He is accompanied by his grandpa who shows off some grinning, toothy characteristics. They finally grab the attention of thier favorite player and all three share a toothless smile.
