C. Rod. Unalt

          Christina Rodriguez-Unalt or “C. Rod. Unalt” is a children’s book illustrator based in Manchester, New Jersey. She graduated in 2007 from the University of Hartford, where she also received her Master’s in Illustration in 2020. Her career began as a scenic painter at a creature shop, where she painted murals and large-scale sculptures for mini golf courses, storefronts, windows, and parade floats. She has illustrated three picture books A Bailar!, I Want to be a Bald Eagle, and The Big Bong Boo. Her work has also appeared in children’s magazines and educational textbooks. Her clients include Pinata Books, Capstone Press, Heinemann, Cricket Magazine Group, and Seed Media. Her work has been exhibited at the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles.

            She currently lives with her husband, their children, a cuddly pup named Yogi and two mischievous kitties, Meeko and Lola, all of whom are a constant inspiration for her own stories and illustrations.
