Pen, Ink and Watercolour Style
This is a style I have been drawing in since I was 16. To start an illustration I use my fountain pen in my sketchbook. It is a very different way of working and a nice change to be away from screens. Once I am happy, I scan the image in and clean it up on the IPad. Any colour is applied digitally using a watercolour brushes. This is a very versatile style that works well with picture books, chapter books, graphic novels and stand alone illustrations.
