However please contact me only if you fully respect the illustrator profession, and if you offer an adequate compensation. I too often receive emails from potential clients with non-existing or very low budget. Reading emails, checking projects and making an offer require quite some time from my work day. It is not nice to invest this time only to hear that there is no budget, or worse, to not receive an answer/feedback at all. Because this is my full time profession, I ask for some respect, then I will be glad to connect and discuss anything.
Laura Aldofredi is an Italian animation filmmaker and illustrator based in the Netherlands specialized in animation and illustration for children.
Her artistic work recalls the dreamlike and fantastical world, which is a fusion of fairy tale elements, subtle magic, genuine enthusiasm for Nature and focus for small, intimate details.
Laura graduated as a MA with honors in Illustration at Ars in Fabula (Italy) and as a MA in Animation at AKV St. Joost (Netherlands).
Since the completition of her studies, she has been working for the animation and illustration industry covering a variety of different assignments: from 2d animation productions to children books, illustrations for magazines, cards, ad-hoc designs and private commissions.
She is also a guest lecturer at the MA Animation at AKV St. Joost Academy in the Netherlands.
Laura's style is deeply influenced by animation and cinema: her pictures have a strong cinematic feeling with a stylized use of light.
She realizes her illustrations either digitally or analogue, with graphite and watercolors.
For animation she works 2D, hand-drawn and frame by frame.
