For this brief, I was asked to illustrate a narrative sequence featuring two boys, Kai and Otto, aged 12–14. Kai is shy, thoughtful, and intelligent, while Otto is outgoing, sporty, and obsessed with gaming. The story explores the moment their worlds collide—literally. This page brings us into a control room where the boys prepare for a boss battle. 

In the dim glow of the control room, Otto and Kai exchange one last look before the final push. Otto’s confident stance and sparking excitement contrast with Kai’s hesitant but determined nod. Side by side at the consoles, they steel themselves for the coming battle - Otto raring to go, Kai summoning the courage to follow. The moment of reckoning has arrived.
