Eckart Henzler
Born in Munich in 1964, I studied Fine Arts and Art Education in Bremen before embarking on a transformative eight-year journey to Russia. From 1992 to 2000, I lived in Moscow, teaching Art, Craft, and English at an inclusive school. During this period of profound transition, I created an extensive archive of over 200 on-site watercolors, which were showcased in exhibitions across Moscow and Munich.
My deep connection to the country led me to organize a rural school retreat in the Tver region, further immersing myself in the provincial landscape and its people. Since 2006, I have been working as a freelance artist in Germany, translating my rich archive of experiences into atmospheric children's book concepts and narrative illustrations. I offer publishers a unique, hand-painted aesthetic rooted in cultural authenticity and architectural precision.
