David Oates

I am a published writer and illustrator. My first two books, The Imagination Thief and The Dream Hoarder, follow Eva and Toby's adventures as they battle against mysterious foes in a faraway land. 

I love to illustrate fantasy and sci-fi ideas, particularly fond of anything dragon or monster based.  I'm currently looking for my middle-grade books to illustrate and would love to work on a picture book one day!

I love ink as a medium, particularly keen on my dip pens. I use watercolour to add a wash and have been known to create digital illustrations, although I prefer my traditional methods.
