Vanko Vankov

I was born in Bulgaria and immigrated to the United States as a teenager.  After getting my BA in Math and Computer Science from Harvard in 2001, I spent the first 17-years of my professional career as a software engineer.  With the arrival of my second child, I quit my engineering job so I could be more present in the life of my family, and eventually oriented myself to a second career as writer/illustrator of picture books. 

I am represented by Kait Feldmann ([email protected]) at KT Literary.  In the fall of 2025, I began work on "And Off We Go!", my debut as a writer/illustrator with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.
