Tanja Wooten
Tanja Wooten is seeking illustration projects primarily for middle grade and young adult readers. Her favorite genres include fantasy and sci-fi as well as modern fairy tales, mysteries and genre-blending adventures. Her original artwork is typically a mix of both traditional and digital methods. No A.I. image or text generating is used in any of her creative projects.
A member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), Tanja’s previous creative roles (both in-house and freelance) include multi-media animator and book illustrator for k-12 educational projects, UI software designer and consultant, commercial storyboard artist, animation studio intern, as well as concept artist of licensed and original products for the development of toys and holiday décor. She is an award-winning illustrator (2014 Bologna Illustrator Gallery Honor), and artist contributor to the 2012 Harvey-nominated independent comic anthology, Womanthology: Heroic (with writer Kimberly Komatsu) and Womanthology: Space (with writer Sandy King Carpenter).
Inspired by curious dragons, resourceful characters, and long-lost fairy tales, Tanja’s personal projects include independent comics and graphic novels as both writer and illustrator for middle grade and young adult readers.
