Romi A. Caron

I was born in the Czech Republic and studied art for four years at a High School of Fine Arts. I then pursued my studies at the Prague University of Fine Arts for five years. Later, in Canada, I worked for a few years as a cartoon animator and as an advertisement illustrator. I then became a professional children books illustrator, commercial illustrator and photographer. I have so far illustrated more than 90 books for children and won some prizes. - The Animal Behavior Society, - The American Association for the Advancement of Science - The Canadian Children’s Book Centre. - The book, Uumajut: Learn About Arctic Wildlife! has been nominated as an official selection for the Silver Birch Express 2012 Award I love to work with editors but I also very much enjoy working directly with self-publishing authors.
