My personal project of the year features a diverse family traveling must-see places in the Ecuadorian highlights. One of the first places is the Quilotoa lagoon, which was formed when a now-extinct volcano collapsed and the resulting crater was filled with a startling emerald-green lake, the color resulting from volcanic minerals.
