Multicultural children experience all the joys of a snowy day in this series of illustrations for World Vision Canada's annual Christmas card and craft. Ian Dale illustrated these lively vignettes which capture a winter day's events as a three-dimensional papercraft keepsake, reminiscent of a snow globe. The Christmas cards were sent abroad to children sponsored through World Vision, a leading international humanitarian organization. The cards are part World Vision's "bounceback" initiative, being first sent to each child's sponsor, who can personalize it before sending it back to the organization, who sends it onward as a multilingual message of love to the child. Tasked with creating the illustrations, Ian's hope is that the richness of his artwork could motivate engagement among the sponsors, and provide delight for the children.
