New illustration project for Chirp magazine – Beezly the Bee
I was recently given the opportunity to illustrate a cute AND informative story for Chirp magazine: "Beezly the Bee". It tells the story of two bee sisters as they grow into their roles in the hive, and learn to work together to achieve success. Along with the inspiring moments of sisterhood and bravery there are also – BONUS! – fun facts about the various roles bees play in the functioning of a hive. My absolute favourite part of illustrating this tale was creating all the little wee hungry baby bees nestled in their little compartments. Scientifically accurate? Maybe not .... But cute? I think so!
