Illustrator and writer, Rachel Gozhansky has recently completed JOY OF SWIMMING, a 493 word picture book dummy targeted to kids 4-8. JOY OF SWIMMING combines the competitive drive from Simon Phillip’s I REALLY WANT TO WIN with the fantastical journeys of Joseph Kuefler’s BEYOND THE POND and Maurice Sendak’s WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE.

Karthik is a champion swimmer. He trains hard and expects to win. But during his first race of the day, Karthik finds himself transported to a strange and unwanted paradise. This detour forces him to take a time-out and rediscover his love of water and swimming. Yet, something is still missing.
