Chasing Stars is Laura’s graduation film for the Master in Animation at MIVC – AKV St. Joost in the Netherlands.

Chasing Stars tells the magic journey of a young girl, who’s looking for her home and own place in the world. The journey takes place in the Arctic and the main character is helped by a very special friend, a Beluga whale.

The story is a fantastical and poetic representation of the inner journey and the struggles that each of us has to undertake in order to find his/her own place in the world.

The film explores as well the emotionality related to loss and the goodbyes we (have to) experience in our lives.

Laura directed, animated and designed the whole film.
The original soundtrack was composed by the pianist and musician Ottavia Marini.
