Hello!

When I was younger, I wanted to study children's illustration with the uber-talented Chris Van Allsberg at RISD. Although I had a scholarship to attend school there, it just wasn't enough to cover tuition. Instead, I went to a state school for undergraduate studies in Art and Biology (which my scholarship money did cover) and then went on to the graduate program in Medical and Biological Illustration program at Johns Hopkins. It's been an engaging career and I've learned to communicate complex medical procedures clearly. So, the art you see in my portfolio (with a few exceptions that are noted in the details) is speculative. I've worked with MOSBY,  Saunders, and law firms all over the US to show injuries, surgeries and tell patients' stories. 

I cannot wait to read what you feel is important to pass on to the next generation. Your content will come alive through characters that reflect the true population; body language that describes the innocence of youth; curious, well-researched settings and the visceral joy of discovering our natural world. Let's play!
