This would be the 15th children's book I've illustrated and without a doubt the one I've had the most fun drawing. What's not to love about illustrating a Christmas story? And this one involved not only drawing Santa, Mrs.Claus, elves, reindeer, and Santa's village at the North Pole, but also flying pigs! When Jacob Clarkson contacted me through one of my many Craig's List ads, he only had to explain the premise: "One Christmas Santa's reindeer get sick and he goes to the Ozarks to find flying pigs to pull his sleigh" and I was on board. This is a wldly imaginative and hilariously funny Christmas yarn, and I pulled out all stops to make sure Jacob's book was illustrated, formatted and ready for him to self-publish through Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) by Thanksgiving 2023. As with all the books I illustrate, these images were penciled and inked by hand, scanned and colored in layers in PhotoShop, then imported into an Adobe Illustrator file to format and construct the PDFs that were uploaded to KDP for publucation. I'm very proud to say this book is currently availalble on Amazon and will make an excellent addition to your young reader's library for Christmas.
