Dog character expressions for picture book “The Lucky Husky” ??
Book title: “The Lucky Husky”
Author: Bethany O’Brien
Publisher: Lancaster Publications, LLC
Market: a book for the US market, age 4-8 years.
A short plot of the book: “The Lucky Husky” is a touching story about the University of California mascot who saves the day when players remember a student superstition that rubbing his nose will bring them luck.
About the book: the book is popular among fans of the University of California basketball team and received good reviews. According to the author, about 600 copies have been sold in 1 month.
About the illustrations: I made the book colorful, bright, and dynamic, just like the game of basketball itself. In some illustrations depicting the game and the players, I deliberately blurred the background to highlight the foreground, otherwise all the elements of the illustration would have blended together and the viewer would not have known where to look. The book also contains illustrations of real university buildings, which makes it valuable, especially for university students and teachers. The dog's character is joyful, active, and positive. The mascot of the team, which sets up the players to win.
