Fill The Sky by Nancy Gifford is the third book illustrated by Christina Michalos that has been featured in Reedsy's Book Cover Art Gallery as one of Reedsy's best covers of 2026. The first one was Home Run! by Michael Levy, which has also won as one of the twenty best book covers of 2025 in the catefory Picture Books. The second one was Hatice Moves to Korea by Kristhal Reyes, which is still being featured in Reedsy's gallery as part of a collection of striking book covers designed by professionals on Reedsy. 

In Christina's words, "Fill The Sky is a story about the magic children experience on Christmas Eve. For the cover, I drew inspiration from vintage Christmas books, with their bright, saturated blues and chunky serif titles. I incorporated golden elements into the title that could be replaced with foil stamping in post-production. Books from the 1980s and 1990s often have a timeless, soft, magical quality that invites readers into the story, and my intention was to recreate that feeling."
