Edna Cabcabin Moran

I'm an author/illustrator in the San Francisco Bay Area. I write and illustrate picture books, graphic novels and comics for kids. My work includes  THE SLEEPING GIANT: A Tale From Kaua’i (Honorable Mention Ka Palapala Po'okela from the Hawaiian Publishers Assoc.), CAN YOU CATCH A COQUI FROG? by Vera Arita and Patrick Landezaʻs DANNYʻS HAWAIIAN JOURNEY. My latest PB is HONU AND MOA which received an Aesop Accolades Award from the American Folktale Society. 

Besides writing and illustrating kid lit, I write poetry, dance hula professionally and am an educator specializing in STEAM. Look out for my upcoming work: a middle-grade comic in the soon-to-be released anthology, LET'S GO!, a notable Kickstarter project produced by Kids Comics Unite, and my poetic contribution to the middle-grade anthology FOR THE WIN (Lerner Books) coming out in Spring 2026.
