Dorota Rewerenda

Greetings!

I was born in the wonderful 80's in a small Polish town far far away. I've spent hours reading stories (and inventing new ones in my head!) but back then we didn't have too many illustrated children's books, so I used to create my own instead. That early passion for drawing led me to study Graphic Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (Poland) where I received a Master of Arts degree in 2007. After my happy student life was over, I worked at the local newspaper as a graphic designer and at a toy company. But only after my first picture book was published in 2011, I felt that this was something I was meant to be doing.

I've been illustrating children's books for more than 10 years now and nothing gives me more pleasure than working closely with writers and bringing their stories to life. This is always an adventure and every story I have illustrated taught me something new and contributed to my drawing style. 

Today, I live in a small town near Bristol with my family, two amusing guinea pigs and a very naughty dog who always finds her way into my illustrations! :)
