Claire Lordon
Claire Lordon (she/they) is an American-Canadian illustrator, designer, and author based in Vancouver, BC.*
Claire creates children’s books, comics, maps, surface designs, greeting cards, and more for a variety of clients. She’s best known for her graphic memoir One in a Million and her picture book Lorenzo, the Pizza-Loving Lobster. While her superpower is creating art for kids and kids at heart, Claire is always exploring new styles and mediums, lately diving into pottery and exhibit design.
She also teaches art workshops and classes throughout Vancouver, sharing her love of creativity with students.
Claire earned her BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design.
Her work is joyful, whimsical, and made with a smile. It’s inspired by a lifelong spirit of adventure, a love of the outdoors, a curious mind, and a deep affection for all things cute.
When she’s not working, you can find Claire training for her next marathon, hiking, curling, snowboarding, baking vegan goodies, or hanging out with her fluffy Alaskan Malamute, Hugo.
Also, her favorite color is orange.
