William Paul Marlette
At 70 years of age, I come from the old school of artists who are willing to work exceptionally hard, and are not unduly occupied by desires of making piles of money. I'm satisfied with my works, only to the point of always making room for improvement. And, at the risk of being cliché, I am both reliable and easy to work with.
As the kiss of death, I will reveal that I am self taught. I worked as a freelance cartoonist for a small group of newspapers, have painted and sold fine art from my physical store and gallery, and single handedly built a Western Town and Gem Mine for Kids, which I operated for thirty two seasons. With the unbridled insights from tens of thousands of kids over the years, I am never at a loss to sit down and render a children's picture book, a pictorial nursery rhyme poem, or even a cute cartoon. Also, I take great pride in creating totally new concepts for unique characters, right from the blessing of my very prolific imagination!
