The start of school is one of several times each year that World Vision, a leading international humanitarian organization, sends a celebratory gift and message to kids in their child sponsorship program. Ian Dale was commissioned to create artwork for this fun and colorful educational notebook, creating lifelike painted character artwork as well as science- and math-themed vector icons.

The notebooks are part of World Vision’s “bounceback” initiative. They are first sent to each child’s sponsor, who can sign the book before sending it back to World Vision, who sends it onward to the child.

In a year when schooling takes many different forms, it is hoped that these small gifts can contribute to a sense of connection and a love of learning.
