Santa’s Hangouts
Let’s begin where all the magic comes from - the North Pole! What kind of place does Santa live in? And where does he spend his time?
Ed Koehler gets us an insider look at Santa’s hometown and guess what? Turns out he has lots of pet dogs there! Yep, it’s no wonder why St. Nick always has an abundance of cheer. He’s got unconditional love from all these North Pole K9s! 🐶
And what do you know? Shelley Dieterichs shows us another thing we didn’t know - Santa’s got a side gig! 😆 Nick's Diner is the go-to place of North Polers for warm, comforting, and reliably delicious food at any time of the day!
Now, we all know his main gig: making toys for good girls and boys! Izzy Bean brings us inside Santa’s workshop where we find Mrs. Claus busy helping the little elves wrap presents. Just how perfect is that bow?
Santa’s Helpers: Reindeer and Elf
A worldwide operation such as what Father Christmas does can’t be done alone. Here’s to appreciating the background heroes that make the magic happen - Santa’s elves and reindeer!
Here’s one of the reindeers by Jacqueline East doing a routine neighbourhood delivery. A couple of squirrels came with to keep him company.
Maria Neradova (represented by Good Illustration) gives us a tour of the quality control desk. Nothing gets past these QC elves. Gotta make sure the toys work so the kids will be happy!
Jo Gershman takes us to the carving and wrapping department. These vibrantly-dressed elves are right on schedule!

Santa’s Sleigh
We can’t forget about Santa’s signature ride!

Santa’s sleigh is pulled by a team of magical reindeer! Larry Ruppert caught them just arriving from a test run.
For shorter travels, Alexandra Elliot lets us know that Santa only takes two reindeer.

Santa Claus
The man himself! He’s cheery, he’s huggable, and a timeless icon of the year-end holidays!
As Father Christmas, St. Nick enjoys reading to little North Polians. Sara Netherway illustrates him going through a pop-up book!
And here he is checking his list twice! C. Rod. Unalt made sure to have some Christmas cookies ready in case Santa gets hungry. I mean, that’s one loooong list!
Inés Hüni reminds us that it’s not always smooth sailing for Santa Claus!
One time, the sleigh wasn’t fixed in time, so Santa got into his Christmas mobile. Thank you, Colleen O'Hara, for showing us how Santa cruises through snow in style!

But he always manages to get everything to their destined receivers, even to the littlest ones! Laura Dalesandro captured Santa leaving a nice big carrot for the ickle bunny!
Rachel Baines even caught him helping the woodland animals decorate their tree!
Anne Wertheim shows us a side of him that we rarely see: Soul Santa! Yes, he’s got the moves, and we’re all too unconscious to catch him bust them out!
Jennifer Hall managed to catch the big guy tweaking the tree trinkets after leaving gifts.
By the time the sun rises on Christmas Day, as illustrated by Kasia Nowowiejska (represented by Good Illustration), Santa Claus is back at the North Pole sitting by his very own fire, drinking a deliciously hot mug of cocoa with marshmallows, and just relaxing after rounding the world in only an evening! We’re glad he’s also got gifts to open!
