In conjunction with Fremantle Press and The West Australian Newspaper, I recently completed a series of 10 illustrations to accompany the abridged serialisation of H M Waugh's The Lost Stone of SkyCity, for the newspaper's weekly Ed! Section. The illustrations are currently appearing in the newspaper on Tuesdays, throughout Term 1 of 2020. 

Sunaya's peaceful village life is turned upside down when a simple mountain mission turns into a death-defying quest for survival. 

Winter treks to summer pastures, mythical Ice-People that are scarily real, avalanches, ice falls, power plays, mysterious magic and surprising friendships - it seems not everything in life is set in stone...

I had previously had the pleasure of illustrating the cover for The Lost Stone of SkyCity in 2019. Due to the fast turn-around and low budget of the newspaper pieces, they could not be completed to the same standard, but I very much enjoyed delving further into H M Waugh's icy world and exploring Sunaya's adventure further.
