For the past few months I've been working on an exciting new picturebook, due for release in July 2018 through Floris Books.

The story follows a young Scottish boy, James Marchbank, who goes to fight in World War 1 at the age of 14. Through a mixture of diary entries, diagrams and illustrated stories the story covers a very important part of British history during World War 1.

With the books main audience aimed at children aged 7-9. The main challenege was to create an engaging, honest and accurate representation of what James Marchbank would have experienced at war.
