I’m so pleased to announce that Little Dune, written by Lisa Van der Wielen and illustrated by me, has won Best Picture Book in the 2022 SCBWI Spark Award for books published through a non-traditional route! I can be extra proud of this achievement as I was also the designer on this book, as well as the illustrator.

I absolutely loved working on Little Dune, it’s such a sweet story about dealing with anxiety, and Lisa is always a pleasure to work with. And of course, any book with a dog in is an excellent book to work on! I enjoyed creating the beach scenes, creating a sense of place inspired by the beautiful coast of Western Australia.
