In yet another wonderful collaboration with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, I was asked to create a new character for the series of board books the hospital gifts to young patients at "well child" visits. This book follows young pup Leo and his family on a summer road trip to visit his cousins. Leo experiences ALL the emotions as he goes through his day - excitement, frustration, sadness, pride, joy, belonging - and helps kids to identify and name the emotions they feel, so that they can express their feelings appropriately and develop emotional intelligence. Illustrating Leo and his very diverse extended family of pooches was super fun!
