I had the honor of illustrating Wendy Schicktanz debut picture book, Ivy Blue's Greatest Pumpkin Playhouse. An adorable story about a girl that dreams of having her very own playhouse, but her parents feel a pumpkin patch would be a better idea. When Ivy Blue finds a lonely little pumpkin in the corner of the patch and starts to care for it, a friendship begins and the pumpkin grows and grows and grows. It was so much fun creating the various scenes and characters of this heartwarming tale of an unexpected friendship that leads to an unexpected outcome.
