It all started with a library trip, where I found an article about Cromwell Dixon, the 9 year old inventor from Columbus, Ohio... who built his own flying bicycle and flew it a mile over the skyscrapers of Columbus.  I knew just then that I had to make a book about this boy! 

My venture into historical non-fiction was so much fun! I'd never enjoyed researching a book before quite like this... browsing through newspapers from 100 years ago, finding amazing things that no one had looked at in a century.

History is just as amazing as any fiction.
