During the Stay-at-Home Social Distancing of this spring, I’ve been enjoying the creativity of artists of all sorts. Musicians, visual artists, dancers and writers have all shared their work for free on the internet, as a way to encourage others through a very difficult time. Even people who normally don’t consider themselves artists are waking up to their inventive urges and posting new expressions. I wanted to contribute something, too! But up until two days ago, I was working hard on the art for a book by another author. I couldn’t spare a minute!
Today, at last, I am free to upload these stories--which have been languishing unread in the cloud--to my Sherble Books website. At first, I thought I’d just share Tightrope Walker-Talkers, since it’s the only one for which I have completed the illustrations. But when I read all seven over again, they made me laugh. They’re funny! And I just love Denise and Patti Jo!
So, since you, dear reader, will see what these two characters look like in the first story, I’m sure you’ll be able to imagine them in all of their other squabbling and savoir-faire.
Maybe someday, I’ll find time to illustrate all of these stories.
I’ll let you know. Until then, just go to sherblebooks.weebly.com and click on the button. It will take you to a Dropbox where you can either download the pdf, or read it right there. Click on the widescreen icon at the bottom to see a whole double-page spread at once. (Or you can go to my Sherble Books FB page and click on the Shop Now button at the top of the page). It's FREE, either way. Enjoy!
