Baby Boy Flies High

Written by child author Austin Naddeo, Baby Boy Flies High features a brother and sister on an adventure to the planet Mars. From navigating space in a jet-powered spacesuit to enjoying the amazing sights of the red planet, Austin's big day is filled with wonder and discovery. Illustrated by Ian Dale, the artwork bridges between their everyday life as a special needs family and the fantastic environments and sci-fi gadgets of Austin's vivid imagination.

Austin Naddeo was born at just 25 weeks as a micro-preemie with significant challenges, including a severe brain injury and a rare genetic syndrome. With resilience and intensive treatment, Austin has surpassed expectations and rewritten the narrative of his life. He loves to creatively explore the world in writing and his wonderful family has invested in his strengths by having his first children's book illustrated and published. Austin was younger than 7 years old when he wrote Baby Boy Flies High, and it was published in 2024.
