Sketchbook illustration/study, ink and watercolour. What would Henry VIII have had for his dinner? I'm not entirely sure about the fruit. Maybe they didn't display food on tiered plates like that, but I need something impressive to balance my composition. Maybe oranges and grapes wouldn't be available. I definitely had to give up on the pineapple, even though that would have looked awesome on top!
