Paula Pertile
I knew I wanted to be an illustrator when I was 5 years old, except that I
didn't know what an "illustrator" was. I just knew I wanted to draw pictures of
things and people and make them look "real". I also loved to color (and
always stayed inside the lines.)
I grew up and went to school at The Academy of Art in San Francisco where I did
learn to draw and make things look "real". I've had the pleasure of illustrating for
retail display, movies, advertising, editorial and greeting cards and childrens'
books. I still can't believe I get to draw and "color" for a living!!
